1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 3/4 to 2 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
Melt butter in saucepan. Add brown sugar. Boil over low heat for 2 minutes. Stir in milk and bring to a boil...continue stirring. cool to lukewarm and gradually add powdered sugar. Beat until thick enough to spread. If too thick, add hot water
