Rocky Road Brownies

2 cups sugar
1 cup shortentin
1/3 cup cocoa
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cups nuts (chopped)
1 pkg mini marshmellows


Cream together sugar, shortening and cocoa. Add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla, salt and sifted flour. Add nuts. Bake in a 9x13 pan at 350 for 20-25 minutes. Remove from oven and spread marshmellows on top. Put back in the oven for 5 minutes. Cool and frost.

Frosting:
2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
6 tbsp half and half or milk
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup chocolate chips

Mix first 3 ingredients and boil for one minute. Add vanilla and chocolate chips. Beat until chocolate chips are melted and icing is of spreading consistency. Do not overbeat.
