4 cups sugar
2 cups white corn syrup
1 quart whipping cream
13 oz can evaporated milk
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp vanilla
1 cup walnuts (chopped)
Combine sugar, syrup, salt and cream. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. The mixture will thicken as it cooks down and will change to a caramel color. Add evaporated milk and cook to hard boil stage (240 degrees). Be sure and stir because as it gets thick it will stick and burn. Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts. Pour into a 9x13 pan and let cool. Cut into squares and wrap
