Refrigerator Muffins

2 cups boiling water
2 cups all bran
1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 qt buttermillk
4 cups bran buds
5 cups flour
5 tsp soda

Pour boiling water over all bran. Let stand. Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and beat. Add buttermilk, bran mixture and bran buds. Beat in dry ingredients. Keep dough in refrigerator for up to five weeks. Bake at 400 for 15-20 minutes.
